Rector of the University of Iceland attended a Student Council Meeting
On September 22, Silja Bára R. Ómarsdóttir, Rector of the University of Iceland, attended a Student Council meeting in Askja. Silja Bára discussed the University of Iceland’s strategy to 2031, “Room to Thrive,” with students. The meeting also included discussions on issues that matter to students, including the underfunding of higher education, the Icelandic Student Loan Fund (Menntasjóður), and tuition fees for students from outside the EEA.
We sincerely thank Silja Bára for joining us!
