Different Registration Fee Payment Methods

As the registration fee payment period is currently underway, the Student Council considers it important to inform students about the payment options available to them. A proposal to this effect was approved at the Student Council meeting on 23 June and the deadline to pay the registration fee is on July 6.

1. Payment through the Rapyd payment portal

The registration fee can be paid as a single payment through the Rapyd payment portal. It is worth noting, however, that students may also choose to pay the registration fee in installments. Due to an error in Ugla, this option is not displayed. Students should therefore pay the registration fee by credit card and then arrange installment payments through their online banking service if they wish to spread the cost.

2. Payment by bank transfer

The registration fee can also be paid by bank transfer. The payment should be transferred to the University of Iceland’s bank account (0137-26-000174, kt. 600169-2039). After making the transfer, it is very important to email the Student Registry (nemskra@hi.is) with the following information about the transfer:

i. Date

ii. Time

iii. Amount

iv. The kennitala of the student for whom the registration fee is being paid

3. In-person payment with cash

Students may also visit the Service Desk at Háskólatorg and pay the registration fee in cash.
